GM Shipped 2019 Trucks with Damaged Airbags

You’ve barely had a chance to get your 2019 truck dirty before buzzkill GM comes knocking for a recall of damaged airbag control modules. The busted module means the passenger side airbag might not deploy in a crash … or maybe it will? No-one really knows and that’s kind of the point.

The recall covers the 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500 / GMC Sierra 1500 and is expected to begin on December 26th. I’m glad they didn’t plan it for the 24th, the traffic can be awful with all those grandma and reindeer collisions.
